Directions and Co-ordinates in Minecraft

Like in the real world, the sun rises in the East in Minecraft.
But it can be tricky knowing just where you are, without a map.

You can see the above display, showing the direction you're facing & your co-ordinates at any time, by pressing your F3 key.

The x co-ordinates run East-West, with numbers going higher as you move East.
Y co-ordinates run North-South, with numbers going higher as you move South.

We try to give you the direction from the spawn point as well as co-ordinates, to make features easier to find.

And if the display annoys you, just toggle it off again with F3.
